One thing is for sure, nobody was happy with the deal the Crown cut with "Karly Curls" Homolka.

This is for all the ignoramises out there who paid for an Ontario superior court judge appointed by Bill Harris to look into this deal to see if it indeed should be overturned. He concluded that the deal must stand as is because if it didn't, the prosecution would have to admit that Holomka was a lier. This then would open the door for Bernardo's lawyers to request a new trial because all the evidence that Holmoka gave was now tainted. She could not be believed by her own people so how was all the testimony she gave aginst Bernardo valid. Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll keep this deal as is. All the Karla haters will be happy to know that when she does finally get out the only place she will be able to live will be Baffin Island. I'll volinteer to pay the one way fare. May you rot in Hell Holmoka.

Not to say that I feel any kind of pitty for Karla, but people need to stop and analyze the case further more. Given the fact that she was a vulnorable individual prone to vicimization even befor she met Bernardo, he was able to pick up on tha vulnerability and trap her. Men who are abusive and sick in their head have a skill to pick up on vulnerability and low self-esteem individuals like Karla. With all this being said I think that the fact of constant abuse and threats that were on-going in this relationship need to be acknowledged and taken into consideration before any matters are taken further. How many of you would oppose to threats of your family being killed? How far would you go in order to prevent that form happening?

I would like to know if Karla is going to be a registered sex offender upon her release or is she going to be released into an unsuspecting community? Although another site says that Karla's parents are actually paying her tuition fees, what kind of message is this sending? Encourage your kid to kill so that they can get sent to jail so that they can study for an UNIVERSITY (not college) education? I mean what better why to make sure ur kid doesn't screw around at parties and the like? but actually studies????In prison she has nothing but time to get that degree that is deprived to Tammy, Kristen & Leslie. 12 years each for Leslie & Kristen but to run at the same time? Something has to be done to keep this woman from re-offending. Has anyone stopped to think about WHY she made this deal in the first place? She INTENTIONALLY kept the video from authorities until she struck a deal. This in itself is irreprehensible! Not only that, in committig the crimes against her sister, she meticulously planned and carried out a RAPE! It led to her sister's death, and then another two murders.....she DELIBERATELY took part in these horrific tortures and killings. Something has to be done to ensure she does not receive parole. She is not remorseful, nor can she be completely rehabilitated. Is it not true that Paul did not start committing the (Scarborough) rapes until he met Karla? This woman CONSCIOUSLY allowed the rape (and subsequent death-of) her baby sister ... a "gift" for Christmas, down to stealing drug supplies from her job to do the deed. Her entire family was home when it happened. How can anyone "love" a man so much to committ the rape & murder of her own sister - which lead to two other murders & deaths (for fear that he would tell her family about Tammy)?! Someone's missing a few screws in her head. This woman should not be allowed amongst the public again, nor should she be privileged to study at a university level, paid for by tax-payers. Though abolished, the death penalty is too good for her. I say, let the general prison population, if not the public deal with her. Where is she going to go upon her imminent release? The message the world is receiving from Holmoka's sentence:"Twelve years for murder? Sign me up!" Where were the jurors brains when handing out this deal? In their behinds? For the protection of our children and for all that is right and makes this a great nation, a strong and free nation, you must absolve the deal that protects Karla. People like her poison our society and steal the freedom of our children...the freedom to live in safety...the freedom to live without fear...the freedom to enjoy Canada and their lives....the freedom Karla gave up when she committed these horrible acts against these young girls. To this day this case haunts me, and not only because of how horrific the muders were,but how easy Karla got off. She got away with murder and it makes my sick that a person who killed a min. of 3 young girls, one of which was her own flesh and blood could even be consider for any sort of deal. I have asked myself time & time again why Paul who we now know was the scarborough rapist only started to kill when Karla came into the picture, it is my opinion Karla was the one who did the final act of killing the girls, and our justice system thinks 12 years is equal to the lives of 3 young women, really, how stupid do they think we are? How can anyone have any faith in a justice system that awards more time to a petty thief than to a serial killer. I myself was born and raise in St Catharines, I attended the same school as Kisten French and in the summer would often meet and hang out with friends at the same church were Kristen was taken. I know in my heart justice could never be served in this case no one can give back those 3 girls their lives. HOWEVER,it would have been some comfort to know our Justice System did something to keep that ' MONSTER WOMAN" Karla from having the opportunity to kill again. It's a real comfort to know in a couple of years she could strike again. Hope the Crown dosen't have any young girls!
